]]> After serving more than 30 years in education as the Director of Technology at Scott County Schools, Mike Lay, a recent winner of the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award, recently joined PCS Inc. where he serves as the Education Sales Consultant.

Dubbed the “Video Evangelist” by Cisco national reps, Lay aims to take distance learning equipment further and assist in connecting organizations to remote users for presentations and special events. Lay served a major role in expanding distance learning through his free workshops hosted in Scott County. He served as adjunct faculty for RSCC for more than 10 years, teaching computer literacy classes in Scott County and in Oak Ridge. Lay has also connected with school officials across the nation and globe to explain the merits of technology. A founding member of the Tennessee Distance Learning Association, Lay also currently serves as an officer to the program.
